Optimize your monitoring projects with corner reflectors in areas with snow or vegetation

Corner Reflectors (CRs)

Corner reflectors (CRs) are installed on sites to reflect radar signals back to the satellite at specific locations. They do not require a power source or any maintenance post-installation and are used to:

  • Acquire displacement measurements over areas that are densely vegetated or covered by snow
  • Monitor specific locations within your area of interest

Seasonal density of measurement points

Summer and snow-free period: SqueeSAR© detects a good density of measurement points using ground-based natural reflectors (left).

Winter season: critical areas are monitored year-round using a corner reflector network, which is tailored to your project’s needs (right).

Proprietary single or double-geometry CRs

We have designed lightweight single and double-geometry CRs for use in challenging environments.

The CRs are lightweight, resistant to corrosion and designed to prevent the accumulation of debris snow and ice.
From design to installation, TRE ALTAMIRA is involved in all phases of projects using CRs. The layout of CR networks is tailored to your project, in collaboration with you.
